Edi’s Rooms Riomaggiore Italy | Reader Recommendation

I think your website of the Cinque Terre is excellent, and was most helpful in the planning of our trip to this fantastic area of Italy. My friends and I also used the Rick Steves’ guide to Italy, which was a must being from Seattle, WA (his home base).

We stayed in Riomaggiore, and rented rooms from Edi’s Rooms, which were clean and the prices were great.

We were there the end of September, which was good because it wasn”t all that crowded. The weather was perfect, unfortunately we were there only two nights. But at least we had 1 full complete day to experience the Cinque Terre. The only hike we did not do was that of Corniglia to Vernazza. We really enjoyed the views on the hike between Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. I recommend starting the hike in Vernazza, the view of the beach in Monterosso, kept tantalizing me throughout the hike. Knowing I would soon be enjoying a swim the crystal blue Ligurian Sea.

We enjoyed the boat ride back that stops in every town. I recommend doing this, because you can appreciate what you hiked earlier in the day. This also gives you incredible photo ops of all of the towns.

I really enjoyed this part of Italy, all the areas had their own unique qualities. The Cinque Terre has still not been ruined by to many tourists, due to the limited means of transportation. I would definitely visit this area again, but plan to spend a couple more days to relax and enjoy the sea.

This was my first time to Europe, and I plan to return. I had a great time we pretty much focused and Northern Italy and Central Italy. I have also visited your website, and enjoyed your site on Gimmelwald.

Sincerely,
