Da Baranin B & B in Manarola | Very Pleased – Reader Review

We just got back from Europe and one of the highlights of our trip was our visit to Cinque Terre. It was everything I expected and more. I have been to Italy many times, but not to wonderful villages like these. I thought that most of the people there were there to hike…but this is not true. There were people of all ages, those “not so young” like myself, took the trains and were more than satisfied walking up and down the steep hills of the towns themselves.

We stayed at Da Baranin B & B in Manarola and were very pleased. Even though Vernazza was the prettiest town, we loved staying in Manarola. It was quiet at night with just about 4 restaurants that had great food. We were able to drive there and easily park our car. (They are also building a large parking garage). It was an easy twenty minute drive from La Spezia.

We were disappointed that the “Via dell Amore” was still closed. There is an upper path open between Manarola and Riomaggiore. All in all, each town was great and three days were enough to see it all. Highly recommended from a veteran traveler.
