Ca’D’Andrean Hotel, Manarola Italy | Reader Review
We stayed at Ca’D’Andrean in Manarola in Feb 2002. A renovated old winery although few vestiges of the original building remain. Modern, immaculately clean and very pleasant hosts.

After some searching (the fourth search period, in fact) for accommodation etc in Corniglia I have found your webpage and have found it to be excellent. We visited this area in 2003 (from Ballarat Australia) and stayed in a great place in Corniglia overlooking the water. I agree with everything your notes say about the…
I found your web site a few days before leaving for Rome. Walked Cinque Terre on March 18, 2005. Awesome experience. Surprisingly a lot of teenagers on spring break/class trips. Not well supervised. Fortunately most of them gave up after Riomaggiore trail. The trail between Corniglia and Manarola was partially closed due to landslides. Hiked…

We stayed in Riomaggiore for three nights in mid-September 2001 (19/09 – 21/09) and wished we had booked for a week. The town was delightful and less touristy than Vernazza, while still with many conveniences. Everything was so beautiful! We particularly loved dining at La Lanterna (NOT La Lampara, which was too touristy). Ivo at…
Hi, Had to tell you about the rooms that Giuliano Basso has in the heart of Vernazza. All we hear is the same lodgings that Rick raves about. He mustn’t have had his eyes open to miss this gem!!! An inspiring young man by the name of Giuliano has restored beautifully 2 exquisite rooms overlooking…
The trail between Manarola and Riomaggiore is still closed. Don’t listen to the Information worker in Monterosso about the availability of hotel rooms in Vernazza. She told us not to worry – yet, after we hiked there (that trail is open and quite rigorous!) we had to search for a room – finally ending up…
