We visited this area in 2003 (from Ballarat Australia) and stayed in a great place in Corniglia overlooking the water.  I agree with everything your notes say about the place &#8211; we had a great time and it was wonderful to come &#8216;home&#8217; each night to the quiet of Corniglia and then enjoy a fantastic meal at the restaurant near the top of the steps from the station.<\/p>\n<p>So, apart from taking a bit of time to find your Cinque Terre webpage &#8211; I don&#8217;t know why this was &#8211; it has been a happy find.
