The trail between Manarola and Riomaggiore is still closed.
Don’t listen to the Information worker in Monterosso about the availability of hotel rooms in Vernazza. She told us not to worry – yet, after we hiked there (that trail is open and quite rigorous!) we had to search for a room – finally ending up in a private home for the night.
The most interesting bottle shapes of Llimoncello and Grappa can be found in Manarola, and nowhere else – although all five towns sold the liquors.
